The Eagle Valley Land Trust is currently governed by a diverse 21-member board of directors. Board members come from all points on the political spectrum and from a wide variety of disciplines.
Current directors are:
Dr. Tom Steinberg, President Emeritus
Tom moved to Vail in 1965 and was the first physician in town. He has been a leader in public health for our community, and was a former multi-term Town of Vail Council member. Tom has been active in open space and water quality for the last 45 years.
Dan Godec, President
Dan Godec moved to the Vail area in 1989. He has held numerous positions in banking and is a past president of the Colorado Bankers Association. He currently is President of his own financial consulting firm. Dan is active in several valley nonprofit organizations, including Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Habitat for Humanity and Berry Creek Metropolitan Board. Dan and his wife, Sue, have raised four children in the valley.
Tom Edwards, Vice President
Tom has lived in Gypsum since 1995. He is a member of the Gypsum Town Council, United Way Board of Directors, Eagle Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and participates on several committees for the Town of Gypsum.

Steve Conlin, Secretary
Steve Conlin grew up in Boulder, Colorado. A fter graduating from Boulder High he attended the University of Montana where he studied Geology and Anthropology. Since graduating from Colorado State University with a graduate degree in veterinary medicine, he has practiced both small and large animal medicine in several locations on the western slope. Steve currently works part time at Castle Peak vet service in Eagle. The rest of his time is spent managing a 3,000 acre ranch in Sweetwater and a 20,000 acre plantation in Florida . Steve Conlin has two children ages 8 and 10.
Ellen Eaton
Kent Erickson
Kent has lived in or close to Vail for nearly 40 years, since serving as night auditor at the Vail Village Inn in 1966 and as the accountant for Vail Associates, Inc. in 1967 and 1968. A CPA, he and his business partners founded an investment banking firm in Denver from which he retired in 2002 after being CFO for more than 20 years. He and his wife Barbara Krichbaum are avid skiers and support a variety of charitable organizations in the Vail area.
Kip Gates
Kip Gates is a fifth generation cattle rancher, who was born and raised on the ranch he calls home. In 2007, Kip placed a conservation easement on his 740-acre ranch which was homesteaded in 1893 by his forefathers.
Kimberly Rowland
Kimberly has been coming to Eagle County and has been a property owner since 1994. Since moving to Edwards full time in 2003, she has been actively engaged with and has supported numerous organizations in the area. With more than 15 years experience in the not-for-profit world, she has held volunteer leadership positions on committees at Vail Mountain School, Battle Mountain High School, The Heuga Center, and Vail Valley Medical Center. She and her husband Jim have two teenage sons. They enjoy travel, skiing, hiking, fly fishing, the arts and reading.
Bob Warner
Larry Agneberg
Larry has lived and worked in the Vail Valley since 1974 and is an active member of the community. He has worked as an Associate Broker with Prudential Colorado Properties Real Estate since 1983. Larry is a past-President of the Vail Board of Realtors, and was awarded “Realtor of the Year” by the Vail Board of Realtors. He served as president of the Vail Rotary Club and remains active in that and several other community organizations. Married to Sandi (Robertson) Agneberg, they each have two adult children from previous marriages. Larry’s hobbies include skiing, golf, yoga, reading and travel.
Frank Navarro
Frank is the Managing Principal of Navarro Lowrey, Inc., leading the Company’s business ventures while also developing and executing new business strategies. A Palm Beach County resident for more than 30 years and a Vail Valley resident for 7, he began his career as an architect, spending 10 years leading projects and advising clients in Florida, Virginia and Colorado. As Managing Principal, Mr. Navarro is focused on innovative building programs, leading the effort to establish Navarro Lowrey, Inc.’s Ecoplex® sustainable development and services brand. He earned his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia University and is a LEED Accredited Professional and member of Urban Land Institute's Sustainable Development Council. Frank and his wife Allison Wear Navarro are members of the Land Trust’s Sustaining Council. Their Cordillera Valley Club residence is the first LEED Gold certified home completed in the Vail Valley. Frank is also a partner in the Brookside Park Office Building, situated along the banks of the Eagle River in Avon.
Stan Cope
Stan has amassed 35 years of knowledge about managing the tremendous occupancy demands and fluctuations of seasonal resort properties. He knows that summer and winter require different approaches and cannot be marketed or managed in the same fashion. Stan’s forte lies in guiding resorts in defining uncommon niches, and in managing them through fruition into reputable properties with longevity and returning guests. He has led the redevelopment of the struggling Vail Mountain lodge and Spa to financial success. He is currently assisting the Sixth Street Station development in Crested Butte through the planning and the entitlement process. Stan is also advising the new Solaris Project in Vail through pre-development and development stages in preparation for a smooth opening in 2010. Stan takes pride in placing the right people in the right roles to create the ultimate resort product: personal guest service.
Alex Iskendarian
Alex is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Vail Resorts Development Company. Alex joined Vail Resorts in 1997 and has served as Vice President and General Counsel, and Vice President of Development for Vail Resorts Development Company. With more than a decade of experience in resort development, he has been instrumental in the development of many world-class destination resorts including The Arrabelle at Vail Square, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Villages, Red Sky Ranch and Golf Club, Mountain Thunder Lodge and Townhomes, and the development of the Peak 7 and Peak 8 base areas in Breckenridge.
