DONATE

We all treasure the Vail Valley for a wealth of reasons; for the sheer beauty of the mountains, for the clean air, for the abundance of wonderful activities we enjoy season to season and for the important, enriching times we are able to spend with our families and friends in such a wonderful environment. But we, and the Valley, are at a crossroads.

The unprecedented, unchecked and unplanned growth occurring in communities along the I-70 corridor and throughout Eagle County will irrevocably alter the experience we so value for our families, for our children and grandchildren. The Valley is changing in ways that will not only be detrimental to the environment and to wildlife, but in ways which will fundamentally undermine the special character that not only first drew us to, but continues to sustain our appreciation of life in the mountains.

As in other, similar communities, the strength of our local conservation effort is of primary importance right now. Because Eagle County is especially vulnerable to the pressures of suburban development, we must support the EVLT while there is still land to work with; while we still have a chance to plan for the future.

Please consider a gift to the EVLT. Your donation will help create a strong foundation for our special part of the Rocky Mountains as it continues to grow. It will help preserve the qualities we cherish for the generations to come!

Outright Gifts

Cash – the simplest way to support the cause

  • Greater tax benefits than a cash gift of equivalent value.

  • Please notify us prior to your stock transfer.

Lasting Gifts

Charitable Gift Annuities

  • In exchange for a gift of cash or other assets, EVLT will pay you and/or a loved one a fixed, guaranteed annual income for the rest of your life. After your death, the remainder of your annuity is used to create a charitable endowment fund in your name.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

  • An irrevocable trust provides you and/or a loved one with a fixed, guaranteed annual income or an income that varies with the value of the trust

Bequests – the simplest lasting gift

  • You could designate a bequest as an outright cash gift, a percentage of your estate, from your IRA, or set up a plan that provides lifetime income to your beneficiaries.
