For nearly three
decades, Cindy's career focus had been as a public relations,
marketing and fundraising executive in the not-for-profit sector.
Early in her career, she served as Director of Special Projects in
the Development Office at the prestigious Scripps Clinic and
Research Foundation. IN this capacity, she gained vast experience in
virtually all aspects of fundraising, ranging from multi-million
dollar capital campaigns to writing scientific grants for the
Clinic’s world-renowned medical researchers. She implemented the
Clinic’s first corporate contributions program and helped jump-start
its deferred gifts program.
She was recruited
from Scripps to its major competitor, the Sharp HealthCare System in
San Diego, where she worked in both public relations and fundraising
for 10 years. She was Vice-President for Public Relations and
Advertising, with a staff of 25 and a $2 million annual advertising
budget, when she decided to return to Colorado.
She served as
Senior Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Vail Valley
Medical Center for seven years. Among her key accomplishments the
hospital were the founding of its EagleCare Medical Clinic and the
highly-popular Snowshoe Shuffle, an annual event to raise funds for
the fight against women’s cancer in the Vail Valley. |

Scroggins, Associate Director |
| Jen is a graduate
of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in journalism/public
relations. She has a Masters in Business Administration with an
emphasis in Information Systems from Oklahoma State University (GPA
4.0), and has completed advanced coursework at the American Graduate
School of International Management (Thunderbird).
She has worked in
the banking industry in Washington, D.C. and Dallas. As Public
Affairs Officer, she developed the demographic database for
capturing and reporting community investment lending performance and
managed federal regulatory compliance examinations performed by the
Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of Thrift
Supervision and the Federal Reserve. She also worked as a
Performance Reporting Manager responsible for all activities related
to the analysis of community lending performance and policy
development applicable to consumer protection regulations. She
oversaw a 14-member staff and managed a departmental budget of $2.4
million.
Since arriving in
Vail in1998, she has worked in the Information Services Department
at Vail Valley Medical Center; as Director of Information Technology
for East West Resorts, and as a consultant assisting not-for-profit
organizations with website design, database development, and
implementation of GAAP-compliant financial policies and procedures. She served as database administrator for the successful 1H (Open Space) ballot
initiative in November 2002.

New New Wallace has lived in the Vail Valley since 1984. Before
joining the EVLT team, she was a full-time “mom” raising two
daughters and community volunteer extraordinaire. She has served
as a member of Board of Directors of the Vail Valley Charitable
Fund; a member of the Eagle County Open Space Advisory
Committee, a member of the capital campaign committee of Stone
Creek School, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the
Homestead Homeowner's Association. She has served as co-chair of
the Eagle County Democrats and as a volunteer for the Vail
Valley Foundation, including coordinating and producing the
Repeat Performance Designer Tag Sale, a fundraiser for the Vail
International Dance Festival. |
